The Paley Center will preview the final episode of CNN’s acclaimed series on the tumultuous 1960s that explores how American culture was radically transformed over a decade. The series finale, “Sex, Drugs, and Rock N’ Roll,” documents how the Baby Boom generation redefined the tastes, morals, and politics of a country during an era of unrelenting change, with commentary by Grace Slick, Tom Wolfe, Jann Wenner, and Tom Hanks. After the screening, our panel of influential musicians and experts will reflect upon the era’s resonance in art, fashion, and style, and how counterculture icons like the hippies and Timothy Leary are still relevant today.
