Graham Nash schedules North American fall tour; new photo exhibit opens in NYC
Graham Nash has added a series of fall North American dates to his 2017 tour itinerary. The new shows, which follow a previously announced U.S. summer trek, run from a September 23 concert in West Long Branch, New Jersey, through an October 15 gig in Milwaukee.
Nash will continue to promote his 2016 solo album, This Path Tonight, on the fall outing, which also includes stops in New Hampshire; Vermont; Buffalo, New York; Madison, Wisconsin; and six cities in Ontario, Canada. Accompanying Graham at the shows will be guitarist Shane Fontayne, who produced and was Nash’s main collaborator on the record.
In other news, a new exhibition of Nash’s photography opened on Wednesday, May 31, at the Walter Wickiser Gallery in New York City. The Eye2Eye exhibit features new and archival photos snapped by Nash, including abstract pics, artistically constructed composites and images of various well-known musicians playing onstage. Among the latter shots are a photo of Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Leon Russell performing at the 1971 Concert for Bangladesh, and a pic of Pink Floyd‘s David Gilmour and Rick Wright at a show during the 2000s. Many of the new images in the exhibit are photos of street art and found objects.
“As an artist, I believe that we should tell the truth as much as we can,” says Nash about his work. “[And] we should reflect the times in which we live.”
Graham will attend an opening reception for the exhibit tonight, June 1, that begins at 6 p.m. ET. The Eye2Eye exhibition will run through June 20.
