USA Today: Stephen Stills shares five decades in 'Carry On' set

The singer/songwriter's exhaustive anthology dates to 1966 with hits, live recordings and rarities, including a guitar jam with Jimi Hendrix.

Over nearly a half century, Stephen Stills has released more than 250 songs as a solo artist, as part of Buffalo Springfield and Manassas and in legendary bands with David Crosby, Graham Nash and Neil Young.

This week, the cream of that deep catalog arrives on Carry On (Rhino, $55), a four-CD box set that traces Stills' career in 82 tracks, 25 of which are previously unreleased. It includes a 113-page book with rare photos and liner notes by Michael O'Hara Garcia, David Bender and Daniel Levitin.
